Tok Dog Mushers
Association
Back in 1954, when everyone had a dog team and having the fastest dogs was a status symbol, the two most prominent mushing families in Tok challenged each other to a race to settle the long standing argument between them of whose team was best.
Alaska Gateway
School District
The district is located in the eastern interior of Alaska with extreme weather conditions. The average low temperature in January is -32 degrees; the average high during July is 72 degrees. The region abounds with wildlife including moose, caribou, bear, Dahl sheep, arctic hare, fox and coyote. Canada geese, swans, cranes and ducks and a variety of fish make use of the ponds and lakes in the area.

Through education, research, and public exhibits, the museum serves the state, national, and international science programs.
